and find out that "you" fell and busted your face on the concrete, and there's no other scratches on you. Okay, let's get something straight here. I AM NOT DUMB!!!! I did not start working as a paramedic today. There is absolutely no reason for you to protect your man! If he hits you once or twice, guess what "He's Going to Hit You Again and Again." I guess the only way you will stop protecting a wife beater would have to be you beaten to a bloody pulp. I also could bet you money while you're laying there on the ground, He'll be standing over you with a beer in one hand and a cigarette in the other, and chances are if you try to get up he's just going to hit you again.
So my question has to be: Why are you scared to tell the police? Are you afraid of him hitting you again? Because if you tell the police the first time and he goes to jail, what the hell are you doing going back! Pack your stuff and leave! I'm going to let you in on a small secret that should be obvious. You can do 100% better! But now don't fall in the cracks. And the reason I say that is if you know someone that has lived in a situation like that, and they left, then they started dating another guy and he is doing the same thing. You have your standards set to a rock bottom low; and you need to figure out what you're truly looking for.
I promise you one thing, that the public service is absolutely tired of going out to these domestics and the woman refuses to say anything. Not only is it a waste of my time, it's a waste of the police's time and the ambulance's time. Do yourself a favor and pack your crap up and tell the brother adios! Because we are tired of wasting our time.
